Whose Morality I wonder how many of you on the Right who blindly follow whatever Bush says. I wonder when you hear about Smart Bombs being dropped in a city like Fallujah and killing half dozen or so insurgents and oh, by the way, also killed a couple of families who were minding their own business, locked in their homes out of fright of what going outside might mean. And you say right on! We killed some more insurgents and, gosh, isn't it too bad that those dozen or so family members got killed but thats war you know, it can't be helped You who might have been protesting outside a family planning clinic where abortions are performed..you who proclaim to put the supreme value on human life by protecting unborn babies.but yet, you sanction the killing of thousands of innocent Iraqi's? Does this not trouble you? And, you who fight against every kind of public aid from tax money for the poor and disadvantaged.how is it that you can protest to save the life of an unborn child and then refuse to help feed it because you don't want your tax dollars to help the poor? You don't want any school lunch programs or after school programs for poor kids..you fight against all of those things and you call yourselves pro-life? Wouldn't pro-birth be more accurate? At all costs get them born but then wash your hands of the whole affair after that? Who are you people? Moral values? Is THAT what you call moral values? Its not ok for two life partner men or two women to have a formal ceremony recognized by the state so they can share the same insurance benefits as does a traditional marriage but it IS ok to have hundreds of dead Iraqi people's bodies rotting in the streets of Fallujah because of Bush's war? Moral values? Its fine for you to moralize on the gay marriage and abortion issues as long as its not YOUR son or daughter involved isn't it? Its ok if its Dick Cheney's daughter but a horrible immoral act if its Mr. And Mrs. Joe American's daughter or son down on Pearl Street. If its ok to overlook it with someone you know but a terribly big issue against someone in another state. What does that make you? And your barrage in the media against people on the Left who are tolerant of these issues we're pro abortion. Let me tell you right here and now that I don't know a single soul who is pro abortion. We're all anti-abortion. All of us!! You've just used the Left's tolerance and compassion on this issue as a club to wield against us politically. Are your Republican legislators doing anything about abortion? No you say? Well why not? Because they don't want to that’s why not. They know it's a bogus issue that is valuable only as a tool to beat on the Left. You are the fools, being played for political suckers by a bunch of politicians who laugh at you behind closed doors. I KNOW this to be true. Get a Republican Congressman a little tipsy and get him to open his mouth about the abortion issue and you Evangelical's will be horrified at what he tells you. Abortion? Whats the big deal its only a political hot potato that we throw at the Democrats every couple of years. Who the hell cares? That's the real attitude of the Republican lawmakers. Hey, there are many pregnant women being killed in Iraq, dead pregnant women and dead babies that will never be born and yet you are ok with the war? What DOES THAT MAKE YOU??? And so my Evangelical, Puritan friends who what to impose your morality on the rest of us..I want you to know that I categorically REJECT your morality for YOUR morality is based on HIPOCRICY and sanctimonious self-righteousness. You are not interested in REAL morality but, rather, only YOUR version of it and I haven't seen any sign that God up above has put his stamp of approval on YOUR morality. So my hypocritical Right-Wing friends, go right ahead and proceed with your plans of pushing and pushing until you get YOUR way. Get your Falwell's and Dobsons and Robertsons to put all the pressure they want on Bush and his gang to advance your Puritan, Spanish Inquisition, Salem Witch trials agenda. Its not going to work because there are many millions of us out here who will fight against you till we draw our last breaths. That is MY promise to you..that is MY morality. I will not force my morality on any of you but, BY GOD you WILL NOT force YOUR morality on me. Respectfully, |
